Engine, Transmission, and Performance
A turbocharged engine is standard on the
Blazer with a two-liter four-cylinder and an optional 308-hp V-6. With a
nine-speed automated gearbox and front- or all-wheel drive, they're both paired
with a rear-wheel-drive car. The front-engine, turbocharged four-cylinder has
enough power for city driving and highway travel. The V-6, on the other hand,
offers fantastic acceleration and increased confidence when passing on the
highway. The automatic transmission was sluggish to downshift when we wanted a
quick burst of acceleration, just like the previous Blazer RS. It can tow up to
1500 pounds on the four-cylinder., but the V-6 version can tow up to 4500
pounds. The Blazer is the most driver-friendly crossover to wear the Chevrolet
bow tie, thanks to its excellent balance and control. It was confident and
responsive on twisting sections of the road, especially the RS variant, which
has distinct steering and suspension tuning. Even without the more competitive
setup seen on the RS, the Blazer is more engaging than most rivals. The
standard 18-inch wheel and tire combination provided a smoother and quieter
ride than the RS model with big 21s, which thudded over rough. The steering's
precise feedback was great during high-speed runs, but it was smooth at low
speeds. The firm brake pedal responded immediately to our commands, Our Blazer
was capable of 70 mph, and the brakes brought our Blazer RS test vehicle to a
halt from 70 mph to a respectable 165.
Fuel Economy and Real-World MPG
The Blazer with a regular turbo-four gets
up to 22 mpg in the city and 29 on the highway. The V-6 model is somewhat, Both

the vents. The color scheme is two-toned, and the materials include soft-touch
plastics. While the more expensive models have leather surfaces and more
elaborate materials, our mid-range test vehicle had a mix of inexpensive
components and mostly grayscale. The Chevrolet
Blazer 2lt Interior has desirable features like ambient interior
lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear seats. Our test
vehicle's front seats had little cushions that lacked support, but the rear
seat provided adequate stretch-out space for everyone on extended journeys.
With the rear seats removed, we were able to fit 11 and 26 carry-on suitcases,
respectively, with 31 cubic feet behind them and 64. There are numerous storage
options for tiny goods, including front-door ledge spaces that are ideal for
mobile devices. There's also a decent-sized cubby in the console ahead of the
driver, and the bin has adequate room, albeit without organization. With a bin
in the rear of the center console and little door compartments, the back seat
is more modest.
Infotainment and Connectivity
Every Blazer has an 8.0-inch touchscreen with
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. But a rotary knob would be more
efficient. USB ports are standard in all vehicles, including the 2018 Nissan
Maxima. On certain models, a 120-volt outlet is also available on the front.
The Blazer also has a Wi-Fi hotspot, an eight-speaker Bose audio system,
built-in navigation, and wireless charging.
