Trims and Pricing

The Chevrolet Camaro is available in eight distinct trim levels, ranging from the 1LS to the ZL1. The prices listed below are for coupe versions. Convertibles are priced $6,000 extra in all trims except the LS. The ZL1 is the most popular variant; however, we prefer the 1SS. We'll tell you why.

1LS

The 1LS starts at $26,195. It has a 2.0-liter engine with a six-speed manual transmission and costs $1,195 more than the price of the car. An automatic gearbox adds to the price. 18-inch alloys are standard equipment, as is automatic climate control and a power-adjustable driver's seat. The car has a 7-inch touchscreen. It is wireless, and you can use Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

1LT

The 1LT ($26,695) lacks in terms of standard equipment, but it offers more customizable features than the 1LS. The 3.6-liter V6 engine and 10-speed automatic gearbox are among the biggest upgrades available on this model.

2LT

The 2LT ($28,695) comes standard with a turbo 2.0-liter four-cylinder or a 3.6-liter V6 engine. It also includes more premium amenities. The car has heated and vented leather seats. The driver's seat has eight ways to move it. The front passenger's seat has six ways to move it.

3LT

The 3LT ($32,695) adds more luxury features to the 2LT. Heated and auto-dimming exterior mirrors, rearview camera/mirror, and a head-up instrument display are included. The safety and convenience features on the SXT Plus include an advanced speaker. This car has a good sound system. It has nine speakers and a heated steering wheel. The wireless device can charge in the car too.

LT1

The 1LT ($35,195) is the V8-powered model with the lowest starting price. It is also available with a manual gearbox as standard. A 10-speed automated transmission is an option. 20-inch wheels and front Brembo brakes are standard equipment on this model.

1SS

The 1SS is powered by a 4.6-liter V8 engine that produces 404 horsepower, and it starts at $38,695 with the same goodies as the LT1. It offers 16-inch wheels, Brembo rear brakes, and a larger 8-inch touchscreen, among other features. We suggest this model since it is relatively inexpensive and has a lot of features.

2SS

The 2SS ($43,695) is the luxury-performance variant of the SS lineup. It comes with a 6.2-ltr V8 engine and SS performance equipment, as well as heated leather front seats. The car comes with Sync 3. The optional navigation system is also included in this package. An electronically adjustable suspension is available, just like the 1SS.

ZL1

Depending on the engine, each Camaro model has a distinct driving character. The turbocharged four-cylinder Camaro delivers plenty of power and low-end torque. If you want Camaro's appearance without big-time performance, it's an excellent alternative. The 3.6-liter V6 engine is powerful but not as much as the turbocharged four-cylinder. Fuel Economy

The Camaro's gas efficiency is typical of cars in its class. According to the EPA, a car with a turbocharged engine of 2.0 liters is expected to get 22 mpg in city driving and 30 mpg on the highway. The fuel economy is 18/29 mpg city/highway with the 3.6-liter V6 engine, which is worse than that of the previous creation (16/26). The supercharged 6.2-liter V8-powered ZL1 is anticipated to get 13/21 mpg in the city and highway.

The Ford Mustang with the basic turbo four-cylinder gets 21/32 mpg in the city and highway. Mileage drops to 15/23 mpg in the city and highway with the more powerful turbocharged four-cylinder. The 5.0-liter V8 Mustang gets 15/23 mpg on the road.

Interior

Both the Chevrolet Camaro and Ford Mustang have a tight back seat that is rarely used. The Dodge Challenger has the most practical rear seat of the three. The Camaro has a seat that is comfortable and supportive. It also has a good position for driving. There is plenty of room for your head, hips, shoulders, and legs in the front. Drivers used to SUVs and sedans might be surprised at how you can see out of the Camaro's windshield. But if you are tall, it is no problem for you.

The Camaro's dashboard is designed to show a lot of information. In upper trims, there is also a head-up display that tells you more information quickly. The 1LS and 1LT trim levels have cloth seats and a plain interior design. The more expensive trims have nicer seats with a better interior design.

It's probably just as well; the Camaro isn't designed for much trunk space because it doesn't have a lot of it. The trunk in the Camaro coupe is almost laughably small. It is even smaller for a convertible at 7.3 cubic feet. The Challenger's 16.2-cubic-foot trunk is enormous, but the Mustang coupe's 13.5 cubic feet of capacity appears to be considerably bigger.

Infotainment and Connectivity

The Chevrolet Camaro's infotainment system is a definite advantage. It uses the same operating system as most Chevrolet vehicles, with big icons and clear graphics to make things simple. The 7-inch display is the norm. A touchscreen with more features is available in higher trim levels. All Camaros will come with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. And they will have a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot too. A six-speaker audio system is standard on all Camaros, while a nine-speaker Bose sound system is offered on the 3LT, 2SS, and ZL1 trims. Standard wireless device charging is available on all three trims. Standard on the ZL1 and 2SS is a performance data and video recorder system.

Safety

Overall safety is excellent in the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro. It was given the top five-star rating by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
